What we do

What we do

We support women and girls to reach their full potential!

We take action through programs that empower women and girls with knowledge, resources, and voice. Our work bridges gaps in health, education, and opportunity for underserved communities across Liberia.

Established in 2019, Sisters 4 Sisters (Liberia) has grown into a recognized local organization actively working across several counties (i.e.. Margibi, Bong County, Grand Bassa County)  to support the empowerment and well-being of women and young girls, including those from underserved and marginalized communities

Successfully implemented SRHR awareness and education initiatives in over 45 communities across 4 counties, reaching hundreds of women and girls with critical information on their health and rights.

Led impactful community-based programs under the “Enhancing the Protection and Rights of Women, Girls, and Other Vulnerable Groups” initiative, building grassroots awareness and fostering safe spaces for learning and support.

Launched ongoing health fairs and empowerment workshops focused on education, mental well-being, vocational training, and alternative livelihoods helping women and girls gain tools for alternative self-sufficiency and self- confidence.

Built strong local and regional partnerships through coordinated meetings, advocacy efforts, and discreet engagement with stakeholders to strengthen networks of support and increase visibility for issues affecting marginalized women.

Contributed to broader efforts around inclusion and development in Liberia through participation in coalitions such as LIPRIDE, amplifying the voices of those often left out of national conversations.

Our key focus areas

Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR):

We advance Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights by providing life-saving education, expanding access to services, and advocating for reproductive justice—especially for women, girls, and marginalized communities. Our approach includes promoting informed choices, menstrual health, family planning, consent, maternal care, and HIV/AIDS awareness. By fostering knowledge and breaking stigma, we work toward a society where everyone can exercise their SRHR freely, safely, and with dignity.

Youth Empowerment

Supporting girls through mentorship, leadership development, and comprehensive school programs that empower them to achieve their full potential and become confident leaders in their communities.

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Awareness:

Working to eliminate all forms of violence and discrimination rooted in gender inequality byraising public awareness, empowering communities with education and resources, promoting survivor-centered support services, and advocatingfor policies that ensure justice, protection, and long-term healing. Our effort saim to create safe spaces where every individual- regardless of gender – can live free from fear, stigma, and harm.

Community Health & Livelihoods

We engage in community-based outreach that promotes holistic well-being—addressing both physical and mental health—while advancing sustainable livelihood programs that empower women, youth, and marginalized groups to build resilient and self-sufficient lives.
